The Gadget is really great and I have some ideeas to make it even better:

1. A Link to the Projekt is missing on the option page

2. It would be great to get notifications of updates (espacicaly in alpha and beta).

3. Upcoming events and runing events should be better highlighted and I would appreciate it see how much time is left to start or to end an event.
There is a gadget for a CRM-Solution which does this point very well. Look here: http://labs.cas.de/google_gadget/Termin%20Gadget.jpg (or here the whole article with more screenshots: http://labs.cas.de/google_gadget/index.html)

4. The events can only be seen in the weekly view. it would be great to see them on the montley view too. (option field?)

5. It would be cool, if the details of an event would come up just by placing the mousecursor on it (without clicking).

6. I would like to past the standard birthday calender and the holdiday calender, but I don`'t know the Links!

Thank you in andvance to think about these improvements  ;-)

Hi, thanks a lot for suggestions!

ad 1. This is very good idea, I will implement it.

ad 2. I was thinking about this functionality already. I'm going to use the rss channel provided by codeplex to check new version. It shouldn’t be a big problem, so you can expect it done soon.

ad 3. That’s very interesting idea, but it would mean, that gadget will use more system resources (I'd like to keep gadget very lightweight). I'll think about it, but for now there are some more important things to be done first.

ad 4. I suppose that you mean the situation, when the calendar is undocked and you have selected the today field. Yes, there will be no problem to add the option to set the interval of displayed events (currently it displays the upcoming events within next 7 days).

ad 5. Here is a problem - it will unfortunately work only if the gadget will be focused, which means, you'd have to click on it first. So it would make any sense to implement it.

ad 6. I don't know their links either, but I'll try to get them. :) If you want to, here is the link for U.S. Holidays calendar (it sent me the user hippocoon): webcal://calendar.calendar.live.com/calendar/US+Holidays/calendar.ics

Thanks again and please feel free to send me more suggestions, I will appreciate it.

Hi, I got the instructions from the Windows Live Calendar Technical Support describing how to get the url of standard birthday and holiday calendar. You can see it at the bottom of documentation page (ical url of standard birthday calendar is unfortunately not available). http://wlcalendargadget.codeplex.com/documentation
