Hi There,

The Gadget is awesome and it's something that is definitely useful.

I added my personal calendar which works fine. But unable to add a group calendar using the ICAL link i copied from Google as it give me a 404 error.

How can I go about adding this group calendar?

It's meant when you export an event or send it by email as the *.ics file, you can load it and display within the gadget. I see the comment on the homepage might be misleading and I'll correct it. Thank you for the question...

Hi, thanks for his post. I am sorry that you needed to wait for the response but it is not always possible to react right away. Anyway the notification of the new version stopped to work properly in the previous version it was because the gadget uses the Codeplex's RSS channels and there were some data which were misinterpreted. However the last version should have solved this and thus you shouldn't see the notice again. Also based on your remark and some others I'm thinking to put into the gadget an option which would hide this notification permanently. It should be released in the new version but I can't guarantee the release date yet...

How do i gt rid of the new version notification that pops up in red (other than installing the new version). I have customized my calendar and don't wish to update every time a new version comes out. The version I have works just perfectly! - I love it ! As well I have it installed on 5 computers through out my family and it gets a bit much updating it whenever a new version comes out.

I have tried clicking on the link in the calendar gadget, but the notification just keeps coming back. I would like to stop being notified in the gadget.

Is this possible ?

So I did the modification for you. Now the year is always included in the code however in the current year it is surrounded by '<span style="display: none">' so it's not visible. You can easily override this in your CSS. This mod will be released with the next version within few hours...

Unlike the calendars the task lists unfortunately don't have a unified form which could be generally supported by the gadget... Actually I had the same thoughts but I had troubles to even find an online task manager simple enough for every day use. So I started a project Dreamsplan - http://dreamsplan.codeplex.com and one of the development goals is a possibility to pin any of your task lists on your desktop (the same way as the calendar gadget). Feel free to check it out and share with me your thoughts...

feel free to inspire the community. The CSS itself is anyway very simple language and lots of people are able to work with it so if not me maybe someone else could help you to create a theme which fits the best to what you wish :-)

I really like this app, but I wish there were a way to see the task list from the Google Calender.
